For Sustainable Material Cycles

Industrial Ecology and Social System Evaluation

We carry out Material Flow/Stock Analysis or LCA for capturing the material cycles and finding out the problems. Both engineering and social scientific knowledge are needed for this. One of our topic now is the environmental impact assessment from mining site.

Mineral Economics

We carry out classical mineral economic researches, especially for metals. Starting from econometric analysis of the market to more financial engineering like researches. Also, we often study management issues of mining and long-term production scheduling in mining is one of our classical and important topics.

Sustainability Assessment with Material Flows and Policies

Combining MFA with more economic models, such as CGE, we try to evaluate the effect from various policies onto the sustainability. Relatively new analytical techniques such as social network analysis are also hired for this purpose.
