Date of Award:2025.9.13
Name, Faculty/Graduate School: Yoshiyasu Han (Department of Systems Innovation, Master Course, 1st year)
Name of the award and a short explanation about the award: Outstanding Presentation Award for the Graduate Student Session (the Japan Logistics Society Annual Conference): This award is presented to graduate students who delivered outstanding research presentations at the society’s annual conference.
About awarded research:I presented the results of my study titled “A Model-Based Analysis of Route Choice for Dry Bulk Vessels under the Red Sea Crisis”, which expanded upon the outcomes of the basic project for which I served as a teaching assistant in the spring semester. In this study, I applied statistical models to examine the impact of the Red Sea crisis on route selection behavior among dry bulk vessels. The analysis demonstrated that, while distance differences between routes remain a key determinant, a vessel’s country of registration and whether it is laden are also influential factors affecting route choice.
Awardee's impression & future plan:I am very honored to receive this prestigious award. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Professor Shibasaki, Assistant Professor Tran, and all members of our laboratory for their guidance and support. I will continue to deepen my research and strive to make further contributions to the field.
