Name of the award and a short explanation about the award：Outstanding Student Award (This award is given to students whose research on composite materials has been presented at the conference with outstanding novelty and logic. This year, one student received the Hayashi Student Award (Grand Prize) and three students received the Outstanding Student Award.)
About awarded research：Theoretical investigation on scattering of ultrasonic Lamb waves at impact damage in quasi-isotropic CFRP laminates
Awardee's impression & future plan：I have received the Outstanding Student Award at the 49th Symposium on Composite Materials held by Japan Society for Composite Materials. In this research, we have established a theoretical analysis method for scattered waves in damaged areas of CFRP laminates, which is expected to contribute to the construction of an impact damage detection method based on scattered waves. I would like to express my sincere appreciation to Professor Yoji Okabe, Assistant Professor Osamu Saito, and all the members of our laboratory for their continuous support and guidance.
