【受賞／表彰等】第23回びわ湖クルーレス・ソーラーボート大会先端技術部門において、工学系研究科システム創成学専攻と新領域創成科学研究科海洋技術環境学専攻の学生を中心としたチームが優勝しました。

〇受賞した賞の名称と簡単な説明
ソーラーパネルとGPSを搭載したボートをマキノ町サニービーチと竹生島の約２０ｋｍの往復コースで自律航行させる大会において、
工学系研究科システム創成学専攻と新領域創成科学研究科海洋技術環境学専攻の大学院生を中心としたチームが見事優勝しました。
チームはシステム創成学専攻および海洋技術環境学専攻の演習授業でボートを設計・製作し、船型性能水槽、手賀沼で練習を重ね、
チーム一丸でレースに臨みました。酷暑のなか、８月１７日、１８日の両日ともに安定した走りをみせて優勝することができました。

*Award and explanation
The first place in the 23th Unmanned Solar-Boat Race at Biwa-lake

Students of Departments of Systems Innovation, and Ocean Technology,
Environment, and Policy won the race in which they make an autonomous
boat powered by solar cells run for the 20 km-course between Makino
Sunny Beach and Chikubu Island. They designed, manufactured, and tested
their boat in a course of Department of Systems Innovation or Ocean
Technology, Environment, and Policy.
