Researches on frontier biotechnologies for energy and resources: CO2 conversion & utilization (conversion of CO2 into valuable products by biological inorganic hybrid systems), bio-monitoring of subsurface environments (DNA-based monitoring of fluid flows, new bio-tracer technologies), improvement of geological characteristics by using bio-particles.
