Curriculum The aim is to learn with a good balance between the disciplines of basic fields and the study of systems innovation that is panoramic and field independent. With this aim, we at Department of Systems Innovation offer lectures on relevant advanced knowledge or interdisciplinary knowledge. All is related to priority areas consisting of the study of systems innovation and exercise of basic principles where students can select and study basic engineering subjects that they wish to choose as their specialty and tactical exercises for acquisition of panoramic and interdisciplinary thinking. Lectures We at Department of Systems Innovation provide you with lectures from an interdisciplinary viewpoint related to the priority areas in the study of systems innovation and advanced knowledge that has not yet appeared in textbooks or lectures. We also invite you to other lectures in basic engineering doctrines as a basis for specific engineering fields that have been cultivated by conventional engineering. Seminars Systems Innovation Exercises (Basic) : Our students choose a subject from the list of basic engineering studies so that one specialized general subject can be established. With guidance from the advisory faculty, each student will study basic textbooks and other materials to acquire a sufficient level of knowledge so that they can be in charge of undergraduate education. Systems Innovation Exercises (Applied) With the guidance of advisory faculty, our students take the initiative in conducting research and experiments, developing products, planning, executing projects, presenting results as well as participating in class discussions. The aim is for students to obtain practical adaptation skills for what they learned in the classroom. Systems Innovation Trainings Credits will accrue for the results of off-campus activities including practical training, research, study or on-the-job training at corporations, laboratories or overseas, in accordance with time spent and activity.
